King Charles III Coronation Tree Planting & Community BBQ

The story

RHCPS marked the Coronation of King Charles III with a community tree planting and BBQ on 6 May 2023.

The event brought residents together for music, food and a permanent commemorative project. Volunteers created a landscaped planting area beside the hall, installed a commemorative tree and added a plaque recording the occasion.

The tree provides a living reminder of the Coronation and a focal point that can be cared for and enjoyed by future generations.

The community BBQ and musical contribution created a welcoming atmosphere and gave local people an opportunity to celebrate together.

RHCPS gratefully acknowledges the support of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and thanks everyone who helped prepare the site, deliver the event and establish the commemorative planting.
